I grew up a Baptist, however, at my school (public school) we never were served meat on Friday in respect for the Catholics that couldn't eat meat on Friday. I grew up always having Fish on Friday...I am 58 years old and I still want fish on Fridays...My acquaintances assumed I was Catholic and were surprised that I wasn't and more surprised to find out that way back then in the mid to late 1950's that my school fed us like that. I grew up with it and stuck with it. Tradition? Maybe! She may never attend Church but at one time in her life she must have and her family must have followed through with no meat on Friday. It is not a bad thing, is it?

I am a Roman Catholic and go to church every Sunday. I'll be giving up eating meat on Fridays during lent and on Ash Wednesday. This is part of the lenten season. However, I do not do it the rest of the year.

perhaps she heard that on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays u should not eat meat and other foods... but that is a rule that only the most religious men respect... well...if that`s her idea...it`s hers. more than that, if she wants to respect god, she should think more about her behavior, not her food habits
