the ring is a form of hormonal birth control so, like the pill, it most definitely can affect mood. If this is unusal for her, and it continues she should talk to a doctor about her options.

Just depending on your girlfriend's hormone levels and the levels of hormones in the form of hormonal birth control that you use, it certainly could be a factor. I had to be taken off my previous form of birth control to switch to a different hormonal method (I am actually now on NuvaRing, actually). It really just depends on the individual. I would see if this become a pattern before really becoming concerned, though. People just get in bad moods sometimes, it isn't necessarily becoming caused by the hormones.

Just keep a close eye on her for the next month or so and if this pattern continues, get her to go back to her gynecologist to discuss being put on a different hormonal method.

Yes it may cause moodswings as it does contain hormones to control the woman's menstruation cycle, especially to prevent pregnancy. If it doesn't subside, it is best to switch over to another contraceptive. . . Yazmine is great, a low dose and doesn't usually cause mood swings or gaining weight.

i found that when I switched to a mini pill my temper swings calmed down. could be by using different point of hormones in them. while you're having incredibly undesirable temper swings then seek for advice from ur physician, they are going to possibly have a extra advantageous theory :)
