yes and no. If they are openly gay, then they stand a good chance of being discharged. The Army has a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy on homosexuality.

Yes! If they admit they are gay or get caught in a compromising situation, they might be in trouble. On the other hand, homosexuality is often ignored in the military if the serviceperson is doing their job well and keeping their nose clean.
