Dracula wasn't that scary for me, but I did read a short story by Stephen King that still haunts me to this day. It's called The Jaunt and it's in one of his short story collections. I think it's the Skeleton Crew but I'm not sure.
Also, Brave New World, that's creepy. Not exactly scary.
Stephen King is amazing though. He has such a capacity for horror it's not even funny.
Another of his that scared my was Desperation. Freaky ****.

House of Many Shadows by Barbara Michaels. I don't know why it struck me so strongly, but I remember the first time I read it, I didn't want to get out of bed to turn off the lights.

The creepiest book I have ever read is The Beast Within by Edward Levy
