Realistically it isn't. But it's a cyclic set of logic, or lack thereof wherein Americans put celebrities high above themselves, because they are plastic superficial idiots who would sooner clap at fiction than admire the facts of the matter that impede them or make the world go 'round. But since we give them more attention than they merit or even deserve, they continually hold up their noses at us, because Americans, being the simplistic trained dogs they are, keep coming back for more. They are only human, and if you puff a humans ego long enough they will start to believe what you're saying about them, even if it's not true, and they will become self-important pr*cks, b/c that's you've conditioned them for, how would they know anything else?
Yes they're only human, they have emotions, but we superimpose their actions (well most Americans do I hope my standards never fall that low to conform with American societal 'values' and pseudo-culture) b/c we are superficial plastic morons defined and ruled by our impulses and sense of self-importance, and that being the case, of course we're gonna create and allow for a celebrity status that we will put on a pedestal.
