Time Master ... Yes, computers can be extraordinarily challenging, sometimes. It takes just one corrupted bit from a certain byte to prevent the whole thing from working.
I share your feelings. Additionally, the way things are going, I do not see home computers rising from their "infancy" within my lifetime.
All cars now have computers. Can you imagine that some day you'll turn the key and the dashboard display says, "Fatal Error ... The vehicle cannot be started. Please contact your software vendor to validate/renew your onboard computer's software license."
I know that desktop computers are a little more complicated, but if our auto computers worked as poorly, do you think we'd tolerate it?
Good luck with it, Time Master.

I have never wanted to smash any of my computers.
I have wanted to smash myself or others in the face for doing something stupid and messing the computer up, but never the computer itself.
