Hi,
Your previous long answer is correct, so I shall not expand upon that too much. Having done "voice-overs" for adverts & links, as I was told that despite being 5ft 6in, I seem to have a deep gravel voice.
I would need to hear you speak, via a media file, and put it forward to various companies that hire nice voices.
The more the merrier at the moment, as a lot of folks sound, well, a tad dumb.
I use accents, so being an original Geordie, and lived in Suffolk, with time in France & the Mid-East, it all sort of combines, then seperates as a baritone teller of jokes at meetings.
Send me a sound sample, as an attachment, Oh, by revealing your email thing, but I will keep it to interested folks only, and I will up-load, listen, and forward to the company I use.
I do a good Homer Simpson !
Oh, that voice over on Barclays ads is yours truly.
Well at £50 a play, it seems alright.
Bob.

Unfortunatly, voice acting is actually a compeditive field that isn't something anyone can walk up and do. You generally have to have an established portolio of experience to get parts to voice act cartoons and games. If that is the career goal that you are trying to obtain, if you are still in high school you'll want to go into the drama department and then later on get formal training in acting, as most cartoon voice actors started off as actors and end up getting parts to do voice acting (voice acting is acting so need training in it). Once you've established yourself you can try to audition for parts at voice acting companies such as bang zoom or in house production studies that cartoon (disney) and anime companies have.
Also there is a quick way to get your foot in the good and good opportunities to start off right off the batt doing voice acting. If practive doing monolouges or dialouges of characters lines and feel you would be a good part. If you ever get the chance, try attending Anime Expo in california and sign up to take part in their Anime Expo Idol competition. This competition has 2 parts, singing, and acting. The person who wins is given a chance to go into voice acting.
