That they can lie to men and its not a problem. When did it occur that woman could take full advantage of men and this is not a problem and not a wrong, bad thing to do?

I'm talking about this mentality in America that a woman can do NO wrong.

Peter you have a great deal of generalization in this statement. Have you spoken to every single woman in amercica and found that each one of them feels the entitlement to lie to men. I doubt this very much so maybe you should rephrase your question to something like this. Why did a woman feel that it was ok to lie to me and hurt my ego and make me feel absolutely lousy for a long time. Does anyone have some suggestions to help me process this painful experience so that I can move on a perhaps find a person that will make believe once again in the beauty of a happy relationship.
You should also look into how you may have contributed to how this relationship turned out. I wish you well and please try to get past the pain and I promise that you will feel better about a lot of things.

Lying is one of those things that is usually a bad thing to do, but it is not endemic to women, men have also been lying for generations. Its certainly not that men or women from other countries never lie, so its hardly a problem of geography.
If you are tired of being lied to then hang with a better class of person, even better, be a better class of person

Women and men ALL over this world lie. Why are you categorizing American women?? You can't judge a world of people by one person that may have done you wrong. That is a cowardly and low thing to do.

actually, i feel that honesty is a sign of empowerment. if you have to lie, then you fear something and you have less power. if you are confident and don't fear the stigma/scorning/whatever reaction, then you won't lie.
lying is always a problem. i have been told that i am too upfront & honest, sometimes at the expense of tact, but oh well! i'd rather people be that way with me than be two-faced liars!!

I have to agree with the others; its who you are associating yourself with. However, I do think there is some sense of truth to this. Women are doing our own thing now, and we have to answer to the men less and less as time surpasses. As far as lying; everyone does it. Men have been doing it for so long, so why wouldn't we all follow this...Its life..Associate yourself with a new group of friends...

I know not what prompted your question, but I venture to guess the problem lies more with women you associate with, rather than the cynical view that all American women lie. Up the ante in your relationships. Treat yourself with enough respect to respect women you associate with. I think you will find honesty will follow.

Umm so are you ok..? What happened to you? Many women everywhere take advantage of men thats been happening for thousands of years. Cleopatra for example.
Don't forget men take plenty advantagee of women!
I'm an American Woman. I want my OWN everything - I'm proud of my partner we restpect eachouther to much to lie. then again I can only speak for myself. I respect myself to much to bother to pretend to be anything other than who I am.
