PUP = Potentially Unwanted Programs

(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .

I also have this 'Potentially Unwanted Program' (PUP). My McAfee Security Centre says that it is associated with a file called 'digstream.exe'. So far, searching the Web has told me the mayhem and confusion that PUP's can cause but I have not found any information about what this particular PUP does - can anyone out there enlighten me?
McAfee is asking me to 'remove' or 'trust' this program but I have read on a couple of the Web forums that I have visited that, even if I ask McAfee to remove it, it will come back with a message saying that it cannot!! I don't want to install Spybot as McAfee AntiSpyware is already installed; in fact I don't really want do anything without knowing more about this PUP - hence I am stuck like the originator of this question. Can somebody help us?
