Quite a few times, but not always... the balance between thruth and lies, and how they can save and harm others is very complicated .

Truth is defined as Conformity to fact or actuality.
A statement proven to be or accepted as true.
Sincerity; integrity.
Fidelity to an original or standard.

Reality; actuality ( answers.net.) but you have to further examine that definition. anything you believe to be truth is only so because its what you chose to accept. So lets play out 2 fake scenerios. (1.) You stole $100 from an elderly pensioner. She now can't buy her medication luckily for you she has no idea your the one who stole her money. BUT this lady has children and one of them bought her medicine for her. So while you rightfully shouldn't of taken her money she still has what she needs. You still have the money so what do you do ? (2.) You stole $100 from a young teenage girl you figure that its just daddy's money because she always has on nice clothes ect. What you didn't know is that $100 was to feed herself and little brother her nice friend lets her borrow her clothes so she looks nice now she and her brother can't eat you still have the money so what do you do?

In both scenerios the people obviously need their money but in 1 the lady has an alternate place to go in 2 the girl is facing going hungry which one are you more likely to own up too ? Truth is only dictated by your moral standards of wrong and right. Taking anyones money is wrong but 2 seems worse than 1 right ? Truth has the power to set you free only when the consequence are greater to you if you keep quite. Its a selfish way of looking at it but that is human nature.

Yes the truth has set me free and in my freedom I have abused it much to my detriment. Still I am free, and much to my credit I have time to make amends upon my abuse.
The truth will always free you, all the time; you just have to accept it.

It did, it set me loose from a love-lots much less relationship and gave me the affection of my life! I stated the reality to my previous significant diverse, that i assumed our relationship replaced into lacking some ingredient needed and how my feeling for some diverse individual have been on the instant away changing into some ingredient incredibly efficient and appealing.... as a result, I broke up with my previous significant diverse of 8 years and run to the guy i incredibly enjoyed. thank you Chico for being there!

the truth just gets you into deeper sh*t than before.

ex. a cop catches you shoplifting. he says are you shoplifting. if you say yes you go to jail if you come up with an excuse you will probably get away maybe even with the stuff you took.
