I love graphic novels. I have read over 60 of the Great Novels and read all sorts of high brow literature, but I love me some hot spandex action too. GNs typically are well written, great art work, and compelling story lines. My husband, his son, our daughter, and my wife's son all just love them, but my wife gives it the raised brow of nerdliness. I've also noticed that when I talk about it at work, the other women also look askance at me and will sometimes even ask, incredulously, "You read comic books?"
I'm going to continue regardless, but I wonder if there are other (girl) closet supe lovers out there. Who's your fave spandex hero?
I think She-Hulk is totally HOT, but The Huntress has my heart.

I particularly enjoy the Birds of Prey graphic novels that feature Huntress. My wife also thinks they are kind of juvenile but I talked her into reading a Daredevil gn about the assassin, Echo, and she admitted that it was a good story and very well written, she just didn't like that everyone was so buff. I guess she wants to see Rosanne Barr and John Goodman in super-suits too.

I love comics. It seems much more acceptable in Asia then here in the US. Maybe with all of these Comic book to movies it will pick up. Frank Millers 300 in coming out I can't wait.

you haven't noticed that comics/graphic novels have become cool again? (no, seriously.) I don't know how old you are -- but I'm in my early 20s, I'm into hip hop, snowboarding, partying, etc... and many of my friends read comics.

oh...and NO I DONT READ COMIC BOOKS!!!! maybe when i was 4, then i realized how lame they are so i stopped. but who cares what people think, if you like them keep on reading them!!
