Sara And The Foreverness Of Friends Of A Feather
There are 2 sequels. I liked them so much that we named our one and only child Sara Joy.

You should definitely read "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." It is a classic, and I absolutely adore it and I think it would be a really good book for a 15-year-old. When I was 15, I loved Anne of Green Gables (or maybe I was younger, but whatever, it's a great book.) I also think you should read "Durable Goods," "Joy School," and True to Form" by Elizabeth Berg. They are all about the same girl, Katie, and her life back in the 50's or 60's as a military brat with her sort-of abusive father and her big sister. They are really good. Also, I remember being madly in love with "Catcher in the Rye" when I was in high school, so you should look into that one, too.

I will second the Tamora Pierce books. The first one in her Tortall series is Alanna: The first adventure. I will also second Shannon Hale. She wrote The Goose Girl and the Princess Academy. Goose girl has some sequels.
And now to add one of my own. Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith is absolutely fantastic. I really really hope you get around to reading this book sometime. It is absolutely wonderful. Here is a little synopsis:
Young Countess Meliara swears to her dying father that she and her brother will defend their people from the growing greed of the king. That promise leads them into a war for which they are ill-prepared, which threatens the very people they are trying to protect. But war is simple compared to what follows, in peacetime. Meliara is summoned to live at the royal palace, where friends and enemies look alike, and intrigue fills the dance halls and the drawing rooms. If she is to survive, Meliara must learn a whole new way of fighting-with wits and words and secret alliances.
In war, at least, she knew in whom she could trust. Now she can trust no one.
Happy Reading!

I enormously propose Twilight via Stephenie Meyer. There are 3 books so some distance to the sequence and the subsequent one comes out next Fall. The titles are: Twilight New Moon Eclipse the subsequent one: Breaking daybreak the author is declared to be the subsequent JK Rowling. =D that's universal between young ones and adults. =] yet another suggestion is optimal journey via James Patterson. There are 3 books so some distance to this sequence. The fourth is popping out next year, March 18, 2008. The titles are: optimal journey: The Angel test optimal journey: college's Out--continuously optimal journey: Saving the international and different severe activities the subsequent one: optimal journey: the strategies-blowing warning i admire those 2 books. i'm 17, via the way. heh heh i'm particular she'll like the books via Stephenie Meyer. extremely some human beings do. haha

Read "Twilight" and its sequal "New Moon" by Stephenie Meyer. Its a teen vampire romance series and its really good. I ams soo hooked but anoyed cause New Moon doesn't get released in Australia till June. Also, The Missing or The Mediator series' by Meg Cabot are really good. And anything by Tamora Peirce. These are all really good choices that will have you wanting more (if you have the same tastes as me anyway :-)
