The answer is: it depends. Knowledge can be compared to a gun. A gun used in the right instances can protect innocent lives ("correct use of the gun/knowledge"). A gun used in the wrong instances can also take innocent lives ("incorrect or inappropriate use of the gun/knowledge"). The fact that it's only a little knowledge is not as important as how that knowledge is used..
