I would say we'll have a black male president before a white female. Within the next 25 years.

God I hope not. You think that the country is screwed up now. If one of our new socialist democrats becomes president the U.S. as you know it will soon be only a memory. Both those candidates would like for government to control what you do, what you think, and how you live. You may not believe it now, but if you do a little research into the two candidates and their political views you may be suprised. One day we may find the right female or black candidate, but these two are not them.

As one of the conservative republicans that most people probably think would never vote for a femal or black canidate, I'll let you know that I vote for the person, not thier gender or race. Niether of those factors are an issue to me. So yeah, it could happen, probably will in my lifetime.

Yes, I do think that it really could happen! Why not? As for women, more women are voting than men, so they could easily see to it that a woman won the election.
As for blacks, why not? They have more than paid their dues in this country. Having been among the first to come to this country as free men, maybe its time to acknowledge the fact that they are more American than some of the Johnny come late-lies!

Sure, I think it could happen. Social change like that just takes time. Remember, women coudn't vote or hold public office at all 100 years ago. It will happen, if not in 2008, then not too far in the future.

Yes, I do. There was a time when it was unthinkable to have a Catholic as President, then came JFK. There was a time when it was unthinkable to have a molester as president, then came... well, you know. Heck, if she weren't too smart to want the job, I'd vote for Condoleeza Rice in a heartbeat, and you'd get both at once.

Yes. It could happen with the right backing, same as any other candidate. I would vote for any qualified candidate regardless of race or gender. So far, I don't like many of them.

Yep. It could never happen on the Republican side, but could happen this year for the Democrats, as we do not have nearly as many bigots as the deep south Republicans do.
