Look at the pop culture pundits - Popular conservatives Rush, Coulter, Savage, O'Reilly - all angry people with no sense of humor. (Well, Rush is kind of funny but I don't know if it is intentional).
Popular Liberals Jon Stewart, Al Franken, Garofolo - all use humor to poke at things.
Why is that?

The angry stuff that Franken and Garofolo do on Air America isn't popular with the liberal audience. It is failing commercially, which proves my point that liberals don't feed on anger like conservatives do.

Because some conservatives honestly think that liberals are evil or a threat to America, where as liberals know that all Americans are good people. I just like getting the conservatives jacked up. I like how Sean Hannity thinks the world is coming to an end, but John Stewart makes fun of the other side, but doesn't personally call people out.

Liberal comedians, like Maher, John Stewart and now Senator Al Franken poke fun at the political establishment in quite (factual) clever ways. Conservatives aren't like that, they take their talk too serious as if they think they actually know what they're talking about. Fox News (Bill O'Rilley) actually tried to sue Al Franken. What a joke! A Republican Senator ( Coleman R-Min) couldn't even beat a comedian...How laughable is that?

Jon Stewart I like, but Garafola can be pretty pc and unfunny. Franken sucked on SNL and in films. Actually,I prefer not to know the political leanings of comics.

"In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.
"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"
"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."
"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew:
It is best to prepare for the days of necessity."

Most of the time, people are angry because they can't comfortabley answer their own questions without exposing their beliefs as contradictory. Therefore, conservatives are normally people who WANT to be right, but deep down know they are showing themselves to be fools. Anger is often a defense mechanism to ward off those who would make the person actually think about serious questions and look at differing views.
Liberals are more open-minded, don't always HAVE to be right, question everything and search for the right answers. They don't need to be angry, because everything is taken with a grain of salt until proven. With open minds, questioning realities, and looking at life and serious issues with searching hearts, humor just seems to be the best way to deal.

Yep. I tried to watch conservatives try to be funny on Fox on Sunday night. They failed miserably. The laugh trac even rebelled and didn't play after one of their so called funny statements.

Total generalization - you are rating whole political parties on 7 people, sounds like an example of liberal based media!
P.S. No anger here just stating my opinion!

Because you steroetyped the cherry-picked people you listed?
There are funny and angry people on both sides of the aisle.
EDIT: Regarding your follow-up: All of the "Blue Collar" group, Dennis Miller, Nick DiPaolo, Dom Irrera, Colin Quinn, Lisa Lampanelli, Jay Leno(? some might say), there are others, but these were just a few off the top of my head.
