Do you think that Amy Lee of Evanescence has Depression based on her songs? i think she does what do you think?

It would be ironic if she was depressed considering she's marrying a therapist. :p But Amy has said in the past that the only way she can write songs is if she goes into a dark place. She said when she's pulled back to reality, she's drained. She's not really depressed. She's just creating an image through music and poetry.

You are an excellent thinker. It can be shown that many great artists have been a little to fully depressed. In that period there is excess energy to be creative . Unfortunately too much depression can bring on total failure to get any work done. Those that are sexually satisfied before they get stressed and depressed lose their fire and drive and have to be milked to keep from fighting. Life is full of strange truths. Sure there are chemical and hormone reasons for all activities.

No, here's the reason, music makes you think differently about life and death. She sings about what she's been through in life what she's trying to do is put things in the past through song. I do the same thing. Let it out on paper not yourself.

No, the song Lithium she did as a cover to Nirvana's song. I don't think she has depression, it is just her style of music.
