I installed a new Maxtor 160gb SATA hard drive in my Dell Dimension 4600. I cannot get it to boot from the CD. (After adjusting the BIOS to the proper "boot sequence", of course.)
Anyone have any thoughts?

thats a problem with the start up CD

Few things need to be check;1)are your cd drive funtion? clean the lens with cotton tip.2) is your cd need clean up? 3)Did you install you hard drive right?All connection contact well?

CD Drive hooked up properly? All connections and everything secure? (Those are almost always the first questions I ask when troubleshooting hardware.)

Are you using a bootable CD?
