I was more than a little surprised to read those words in a Liberal newspaper. It was NOT a story about an incident of racism! I have watched for several days now and I have not heard the first complaint about it. Some how, I feel that a conservative newspaper or magazine would have been scandalized all over the media for days.
Maybe black people don't mind if Liberals use racist language, just if conservatives do?

The newspaper was the Washington Post. In a story about the Westminster Dog Show. The writer was discussing how the judges choose the winner.
The dog show was the 12th and 13th, so it must have been in the Post on the 14th.

It goes to show you how two-faced the liberals are.

The whine and cry, but get as much money from fundraising as the conservatives.

Let's elect hillary and let another clinton make a joke out of the whitehouse.

ain't nothing racist about eenie meenie minie moe. Several things could come after that. Catch a tiger by the toe (the way we said it growing up) It could be anything that is caught by the toe with two syllables.

eenie meenie minie moe's racist? i've always thought it was just a rhyme to pick who's it.
but i guess it might just be because like liberals are more like "in the middle" while conservatives are more right winged (or left?) so they're opinion would be seen as more biased. and liberals, just saying it without any specific meaning

I find that a little bit offensive but I'm in my sixty's and I have herd it since I was a kid in northern New England (Maine) when I was a kid I never gave it a thought as to it being raciest then now I don't like the word. I don't like to hear a white person use this word or a black person use this word. I hear black people use this word and they themselves can't understand why they shouldn't be able to use it, simply if you want respect then you need to show respect for yourself

It depends on if you were borught up in a family of racists: When I was a kid, it was: Eenie, meenie, miney , moe, catch a tiger by the toe, if he hollers let him go, eenie, meenie , miney moe. Why, what word did you use a kid instead of tiger?

I couldn't figure out what you were freaking out about until I read David's answer. Growing up, I always caught a rabbit by the toe. What racists did YOU grow up around??

Without reading it myself, and seeing the context, I have to assume this is just conservative trash talk.
