I think it would be great to have a 22 year old brother. He wouldn't be around enough to annoy me, or young enough to make farting sounds all the time.
It would be fun for your sister! She could have someone from her generation to discuss what a guy likes in a girl (not at thirteen, but maybe later) and can discuss friendship problems realistically, instead of with parents who are too old to understand what LOL means. (Most of them think it means "lots of love"!)
I think the jewelry thing is a bit over the top. It might be uncomfortable. Wait until Christmas or her birthday. It would have been cute to get a bracelet from her brother on Valentine's Day too.

I don't have an older brother. Both my brothers are younger than me. But I have a older sister and she alwasy buys me things. If I had a brother that bought me things I wouldn't feel uncomfortable because he is probably doing it out of love and is being caring. I would love to talk to him too and go places with him.

I have a step-brother that's 10 years older than me, but we do stuff all the time like go to the movies, and he'll take me to my friend's house. Nothing big. He bought me a $200+ boombox for christmas and it didn't feel creepy. She shouldn't feel uncomfortable because you are her brother.

If you mean to have just someone to TALK TO and NOT have sex with because you ARE underage - I'll go with an older teen. A 22 year old is too old to know where you're coming from unless they are really good to talk to and remember their childhood. Becareful.

if you were a what? If you mean like talk to, like advice, and do things with like go to the park or something. Then it's fine. I would be ok with my brother buying me jewlery, as long as it wasnt really expensive or anything.
