Big Hair

Leggings with a day-glo top. Lots of black rubber bracelets and bright fingernail polish. Big, Big hair with a bow in it attached to ha headband. I'm not talking about teasing your hair but curling it all over. Then in the front take a section of bangs and curl back then the section in front curl under. you should be able to make these stand high with...and I kid you not, Aqua Net. Major eye makeup and lots of cheeks and lips. Think Madonna. Look her pic up and follow that. I lived it...it was scary. (Luckily, I've always had stick straight hair. I got made fun of in the 80's 'cause I didn't look like everyone else. Thank God!) Now, I don't have any pictures to burn. Hoope this helps!

Ooh, how cute!!! Well, let's dress you up like Cyndi Lauper- she was a lot of fun. OK, first you need to find a stonewashed jean jacket. You should then wear that (with the sleeves rolled up to your forearms and a lot of plastic bangle bracelets) over a fluffy knee length dress or skirt that looks like a prom dress sort of. Wear black leggings under that, and then some pointy-toed flats or pumps in a wild color like pink or lime-green. Put your hair in a side ponytail and wear some big dangly earrings that look like they're made of plastic. Voila! Instant 80's Cyndi Lauper wannabe.
If you want to dress like regular kids did back then (like how I used to dress...) it will be a lot more simple. Same jean jacket with maybe a vintage T-shirt that has some sort of icon from the 80's (like the Smurfs or Rainbow Brite) on it, stonewashed jeans (bonus points if you can find some with zippers up the sides of the legs!) and some big Reebok or L.A. Gear high-tops with like 47 different colored laces coming out of them. You can find all your 80's goodies at the thrift store. Good luck!!
