cause i have to go to a "disco themed" dance and if i go as a hippie am i going to look like a total freek?

I think you should bend more towards clingy, polyester, shiny stuff, spandex-like. I think the hippie thing wont look just right. You should look into "Saturday night fever" and "boogie nights" and look at the way the women dress, its more polyester pantsuits, shiny halter dresses, blue or silver eye shadow and BIG poofy hair, or really sleek, super straight hair.
