1. His orientation didn't change and it was never a choice. A kid saying he "liked" you doesn't mean he wanted to do all the adult content things with you. Kids tend to claim a "boyfriend/girlfriend" without the slightest clue as to what that means in the real world, it's all playacting.
2. It isn't a "choice" it's a realization. Eventually when someone actually gets to the stage where they actually become interested in more than exchanging Valentine Cards A person's true interest comes out, who they would prefer to be "close" to, and in his case it is another guy.
3. Frankly, I don't believe you know what your "bible" says because there are hundreds of scholars that don't interpret the Bible as having anything negative at all to say about same-sex love-relationships. The majority of the References are referring to male-prostitution and inhospitableness toward travelers/guests. Those who continue to attempt to state the conversations are about homosexuality are doing nothing but trying to LIE to back up their own bigotry.

Well, let's turn the question back on you - why are you straight?

You don't have an answer, do you? That's because it's the way you were MADE, just as he was born LGBT.
He doesn't have to justify how he was made to you or anyone else. Do you also ask him to justify his skin and hair color? He didn't have any choice in those, either.
He didn't "change" his orientation. People take different amounts of time to understand and discuss their natural sexual orientation.
If you are truly a Christian, you will work with him for peace, love and justice for ALL God's children.
Please don't quote the bible to us until you are prepared to follow ALL sections the same, or none of them. Don't be a selective hypocrite and defame gay people, and then ignore the sections about shellfish, mixed clothing, and who should get stoned by the village.
Good luck being a truly compassionate, loving, justice-filled and therefore Christian person.

The bible says alot of things, like to throw your first born over a cliff, and many other things. My brother and dad are gay and its not something they can help, its not something they choose to be. Who would choose to be gay when everyone discriminates against them. Its not a very easy life to live. It is the way they are plain and simple. If your were a true friend to this guy then you would stop worrying about it so much and just be there for him. As for "changing" he did not. Growing up you are taught its only acceptable to date the opposite sex. So what are they supposed to do. When they get older they realize that they can no longer live a lie. Don't you want your BEST friend to be happy?

Well, I think we are born this way. I mean why do you like guys. If he says it his choice, and he really wants a change then it must be up to him to do it but other wise, just let him be. When it comes to things like this, all you can really do is follow you heart and remember, the sin isn't in being gay but in having gay sex.

Most likely, he was always gay. Most of us will pretend to be attracted to the opposite sex to cover it up when we are younger. When we grow up, we realize it's not worth it.

Oh for goodness sakes, what sort of christian are you? Your bible says to love the sinner, hate the sin. If it's so easy for you to to confuse the two things perhaps you should reevalute your version of faith.

The gay movement is very much a political movement. If people believe that having sex with someone is how you were born, then you can make this into a civil rights argument rather than an argument on personal choice and responsibility.
Once these actions are accepted as a civil right, then gays will be able to sue businesses for not hiring them, not giving them benefits they didn't earn, groups who choose not to associate with them, ect, ect. They will equate their actions to peoples skin color.
Claiming you can't control whom you have sex with is a bogus argument. Most people control their urges rather than have affairs, for example.
Claiming it's a genetic issue is a way to avoid accepting responsibility for your actions.
