I know its like directed or something by stephen king but is there a book?

The novel is titled "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life at Rose Red" and was written by Joyce Reardon, Ph.D. (really a pseudonym for Ridley Pearson). The novel is based on Stephen King's script for the movie.

I do believe there is a book. Every time there is a stephen king movie there is usually a book that it was based on.

It's not totally an adapted book but there are numerous events coinciding with his previous books such as Carrie (telekinetic girl named Annie and raining stones) The Shining, The Glass Floor (One of the Rose Reds room has a glass floor) just to name a few
