Did you break anything? Did your fall cause you to lose any time off of work? Or cause you to lose any money? If not then you have no grounds to sue.

I remember when I was 19 and working at Nathan's I slipped and fell in the kitchen on some grease. I got a little bruised up, but I survived and suing wasn't even considered.

Think about this also. If you attempt to sue and lose, because you don't have grounds, then you can and will be sued in return for bringing a false suit against the company and have to compensate them for all the monetary losses they incurred defending themselves. This was established because of people who would sue knowing that they didn't have a case but tried to anyway to see if they could get money; what was the harm, nothing out of their pocket. But since it is a waste of the judges time, the tax payers money and the time and money of the defendant the courts decided to allow incorrectly sued people bring cases against those that attempted to sue them.

What exactly would you be suing for? The embarrassment of the fall? A few bruises doesn't sound like anything to sue for.
You employer should have workman's comp though for any serious injuries so check with them.

I believe first you have to prove negligence, like they knew the area was wet and did not clean it up, or that someone mopped and did not put out the proper signs etc...It is hard to prove, I think the best you can do is apply for workers compensation, but the benefits you are going to get are only 1/3 of your regular pay I think.

You're employer more than likely has a workers compensation plan to cover things like this. Talk to your boss, probably no need to sue.

WORKMANS COMPENSATION

Get the paperwork from your employer

DO NOT let them deny you the paperwork

If they try to deny you the paperwork then you have grounds to take them to court

Workmans comp pays your medical bills and what not... If it was because of a really hazzardous situation... look up OSSHA or OSHA

You should suck it up and walk it off. **** happens. It's people like you that have made a joke out of the american legal system!

Why don't you put some energy into being a productive member of society, instead of leaching off other people.
