As much as I would like to see them do it I don't think they will this season. They have been slowed by a lot of injuries and I haven't seen them play at what I believe is their full potential. The best teams in the Eastern Conference are the Sabres, Devils, and Penguins. Against those teams this season the Hurricanes are 2-5-2. However, I do believe they can win the division and make it to at least the second round of the playoffs.

As much as I would like to see rod brindamour back hoisting the cup I will have to say no because Buffalo is just ridiculous this year, however I have a good feeling the cup is going south again as nashville will probably win it this year. And i could care less im a flyers fan and still loyal but hurting inside i now know what it was like to be a penguins fan

No...i don't believe the Canes will win the cup this year. They are barely fighting for a playoff spot against a weaker Eastern Conference squad. They are not at the level of the Devils or the Sabres this year nor the top squads from the West.

No. Definitely the Nashville Predators.
Paying such a high price for a Forsberg who doesn't know if he'll retire once his contract is up at the end of the season may seem pretty gutsy. But..Look at what's at stake here!
Nashville is now positioned very strong to take the Cup.
Just ask any Tampa Bay fan what a Stanley Cup means for Ticket sales and local boost to the sport.
So...Forsberg's price tag may have well been worth the expense even if he retires at the end of the season!

i do not imagine so, from time to time it really is tricky to foretell the crew which will win all of it, like very last year, take the sharks for instance, they were the acceptable crew interior the reg season and they lost interior the first round of the playoffs. each and each crew has a tricky crew to play adverse to and an ordinary crew to conquer. regardless of the hot trades and draft possibilities, i'd ought to say that per chance the pink Wings will win it, yet they'd have some hassle with the Blackhawks and their further guns interior the Western convention, and they're going to warfare with the Flyers, Rangers, and Capitals.

Perhaps. As we learned last year, once you're in the playoffs, it's anybody's game. And the canes certainly are looking playoff bound. If we make it to the third round, there is a very good chance. second round even.

And we're playing now for a 3 way tie for conference lead.

no, they lost a lot of key players over the off season thus bringing down their stock. My bet is that the sabres and the pretators will fight for the cup and the sabres will win.
GO SABRES

I think they will make it to the playoffs. But i dont think they will win the cup again. I wish they could but they arent playing with good chemistry and they have lost their key players.
