If you've aced everything and the teacher is still giving you an F, you need to find out what is going on. My initial thought was that the teacher thinks she gave you an F for cheating, disrespect, or some other conduct issue if your work was otherwise As. After all, this is math and your papers are going to be right or wrong.
You can go to war, but kids come and go. That teacher LIVES in that school. The administration either knows she's an a***** because that isn't something that people can hide from coworkers, or they think she's great and this is the first time there has been a complaint. If this is the first time, you lose credibility but if she's really a*****, the administration may be more receptive to getting you out of a bad situation..
This calls for a meeting with the guidance office or the Asst Principal or Principal, not just a call. Your goal is to convince them very politely that you really tried to turn this situation around, and that you haven't earned the F. Alternatively, your goal is to convince them that even if you did something wrong, you've really been trying but the teacher isn't giving you a chance to work your way back into the class. You might consider having this meeting with the teacher and your Mom first, and then having a follow up meeting with the guidance office or principal to relay how the teacher meeting went.
Other kids in your school can tell you if the other Calculus teachers are any better. If not, your choices could be limited to trying to suck up to your current teacher and work at redeeming yourself (parental support for the suck up helps) or trying to drop the class. Maybe calculus is something you can take in summer school? This is drastic, so it's probably your last choice. You'd also want to ask your guidance counselor if the F would show up in a transcript as a dropped class too.
Finally, keep in mind that anything can change. You can study and be quiet and hope this awful situation blows over if you keep getting As on classwork (maybe she had an issue at home...maybe another kid will screw up next week...). Keep your opinion of her to yourself if you stay in the class. If you do really well on your math ACT or SAT the poor class grade may not do you any harm. Good luck. Don't let this ruin your whole year.

I agree with JT... what's the truth here? You can't be getting As on everything and receiving an F in the class. Yes, teachers do have some leeway with grades but not that much. And if your mom called the school to get your classes changed, that makes you look like a little, whiny baby who has to have mommy do everything for her. Stand up for yourself, and instead of griping to us here, why don't you ask the teacher what's going on? Duh! She's the one who's in charge, she's the one who has the gradebook! Teachers really aren't as scary as you students think... I would have a higher opinion of a student who came to me to ask about her grade before getting her mother involved.
If you're in calculous, you're old enough to try to work this out for yourself before "mommy" gets involved. If the teacher doesn't give you any satisfaction, THEN get somebody else involved.
BTW, why do students say that teachers GIVE them a certain grade? I never GIVE grades, I just let the kids know what grade they've EARNED.
Good luck.

If you are getting an F with A work then get a lawyer! If the new teacher is a ***** just stop by her office one day after school and act like you are really involved in the class material. It only takes one good attempt to get a ***** to turn flower power!

well you need to take action!
Copy all your work that you recieved back with those ACES and put them in a binder 3 ring binder.. from earlest to latest..
If she fails you take her to the school board and fight it!
it's like Courts but for the school!
and if you give reasons why you deserve a better grade then a F then you need to let everyone know! present yourself as an egar child not a loud mouth person who just wants what they want!
be nice calm and collective! this will make you look like your serious and your not messing around more so then an attitude :( trust me found the hard way!
I did that to the school board not about grades about some other issues and lies they staff told me.. all i got was it off my record i would of missed the hole thing if i was calm and nice but i went off at the mouth.. and kept saying lier lier lier lier lier and i got a little huffy!
but if you can pull together a nice presentation about how you work in that class a daily log of what you do all done on your own time! That alone is going to look WONDERFUL on your part!
Sadly it won't be just handed to you and you got to work even harder for that A you deserve but if you want other people to see that A then i would get making that presentation!

I was in the same situation when I was in highschool only it was my business teacher... I don't really know what to tell you, I just stuck it out... I ended up passing the class, because she graded my tests differently than everyone else. She only got away with that because they were essay tests. Well the final was a muti choice and True False.... So I aced that one was lucky enough to pass the class. Sorry I can't help... Hope things get better...

If you absolutely cannot stand this teacher, you should switch classes. This new teacher will probably not be as bad, and it will save you from dreading calculus. It seems like you are doing a fine job and you do not deserve the marks you are receiving.
Ask your mom to ask the teacher what you have done to deserve those F's. If you are both unsatisfied with the answer, switching classes may help. :)

I would say the first step of action would be to approach your teacher after class even if you ask another teacher you feel comfortable with and sit down and have the teacher explain her reasoning's the grade could be a human error like she imputed the grade in the wrong name or something. if that doesn't change the grade involve the principle or superintendent. also ask if anyone else in that class is having the same problem and if so the teacher depending on her tenure could be asked to resign from teacher or get fired!

how much worse could your new teacher be? they may be a worse teacher, but if they give you the grade you deserve, you can't ask for much more than that. i'd look into why your teacher is failing you though...because if its just tbecause she doesn't like you, then thats wrong. you should talk to the school about her.
good luck...because i've been in that position before...my french teacher last year hated me so much for like half the year...it was a living hell! try to get out of that class ASAP!

I seriously doubt ANY teacher would or could fail you if you "aced absolutely everything in the class & have done all the extra credit". So, what's the real story?
