Well - i agree with you... people should not use the internet to pontificate their obtuse politics...

having said that - take comfort in the fact that they don't have any friends that they can share their views with... they are lone rangers in cyberspace.

Big Family HUG for all the folks who really want to get to the bottom of things.

I don't know. But maybe we should go to Yahoo, and get a bunch of people together with a petition, and have them change the rules and Privacy Policy here. Make it include a phrase saying "Users who do not post serious relivant questions will be banned from Answers. Hatred terms are a crime, and can be referred to police and legal investigators."

From now on, I'm going to start reporting anything that is slightly in-convient with the Privacy Policy. That INCLUDES harrassment, and hatred.

On here people can be the idiots and slime they truly are without having to be seen or known. It's like being in a virtual theater and everyone yelling fire. One of the more common afflictions we have as a society, low class, inconsiderate, intolerant, morons, trying to prove to everyone just how stupid they really can be in order to get some attention, any attention.

I think there are several reasons.

First, none of us really know what is going in with politics, and second our two party system encourages partisan hating. There's very little in the way of substantive questions that one can ask and expect a non-biased answer. It's always 'Do you think conservatives / liberals are bad because...?'.

Because there are a lot of people in the world filled with anger and hatred and the internet is the perfect medium for anonymously venting your anger on the world. Most people don't do this because of the repercussions in society, but there are no repercussions with the internet.

Hate Radio (with Rush Limbaugh and others) and Fox news have their voice.

This is the voice of people who are still cutting their teeth on the craft of insults, lies, and political spin.

Wait, you're saying it's not for people to insult each other anonymously?
