Okay I want to get a certain song off of a Vhs Tape. (It's a classical song they played for my aunt's wedding and I want it so I can post it up on the internet so someone can give me the name of the song) I know thats alot but I really love this song - the problem is I don't know how to do that - so I'll repeat does anyone know how to get audio off of an Vhs tape as you would with a audio Cd

Yes can by done, use the rca lead ( yellow/ red/white ) BUT DON'T PLUG IN THE YELLOW, AS THIS IS THE VIDEO ( PICTURE ) CONNECTION. Plug in the white and red leads (m phone, sound cables ) into your recording device.

Line up the start of the video, and press play, press record on the recording device

i have 2 solutions.. . if u look at future shop or best buy, they have a wire. one end has red and white and the other end is exactly like a headphone plug-in. hook the head phone end to the line in, in the back of your computer, beside where your speakers go in and hook the other end into the audio out on the vcr. open sound recorder and click record.. push play on the vcr and it should record it on the computer........... next, if that sounds to complicated just plug a microphone into your computer and put it up to the tv speakers, recording with sound recorder

Hook your VCR audio out to your sound card's audio in and record it....RCA plugs (white/yellow/red)
