I just watched The Blair Witch project last nite and it was scary! Especially since my dad has told me it was true, only to find out after the movie that he had said that to make it scarier. I thought Wrong Turn was pretty scary, too. Usually the horror movies that are actually possible scare me... What movie scares u the most?

The Descent sucked! The ending was absolutely horrible. And The Hills Have eyes looks like a rip off of Wrong Turn- only in a desert instead of a forest and a family instead of a group of friends.

Correction then- Wrong Turn was a rip off of The Hills have Eyes... I didn't know that there was an old one... but still, I saw They which was Wes Craven, and didn't really care for it.

First of all, i would just like to say that The Exorcist is not scary at all. Im not trying to be Mr. Tough Guy or anything but seriously, it is just not scary at all. I dont know if its different in that i watched it a few weeks ago and im a kid, and maybe it was scarier back then or scarier to old people, but im 15 years old, just watched it, WITH THE LIGHTS OFF MIND YOU, and was terribly suprised about how unscary and how unsatisfied i was. Ive also talked to other people and they agree with my opinion on this UNSCARY movie. Besides that i havent really seen enough scary movies to come to a conclusion on which is the scariest, but from what i have seen i would say The Omen.

There aren't any great scary movies any more. But there is one that I remember that scared my bad. The Exorsist the Begining. I think that the reason why I think it was scary was because I was pregnant and I was jumping constantly and I felt the baby kick every time I got scared. I still feel the sensation to this day when I go see a scary movie. Another one that scared me was the hills have eyes. I don't know why but I get scared easily and I hate it. Oh and Silent hill got me too.

sweetheart, Wrong Turn actually is a rip off the The Hills Have Eyes....the 1977 Wes Craven version.
If you want scary, rent the 1978 George Romero film "Dawn of the Dead." not the remake. Also rent "28 Days Later"...that will scare the hell out of you too!

just to let you know, Hills Have Eyes was made before Wrong Turn, the newest is a remake,,, scary movies try Saw or House of a 1000 Corpse,,, and if you though Blair Witch was scary,,, then you should stick to the Ring or the Forgotten,,, maybe the Village,,,

In my opinion, I have yet to see a movie that relied on blood and gore to make a scene that was really scary. Shocking sometimes, but not scary.
One movie comes to mind, though... It's an old one, but in my opinion one of the best:
Poltergeist - Not only did you care about the characters in the movie and hope against everything that they got their little girl back, but it was a movie that centered around a family dealing with loss and the supernatural - and about how love held them together through it all.
Not to mention that it had many of those "jump out and grab you" moments. And I've never liked to leave my television on after the stations went off since I saw that movie... too creepy.

The Exorcist to this day still is the only movie that can give me the heebies. Satan is the source of all evil, & parents always tell kids that anything in a scary movie isn't real. But then you have this movie, which while it is fictional, has a very real supernatural bad guy. THAT'S why it freaks people out. Werewolves aren't real and vampires aren't real.....but this was the devil himself.
I do have to admit thought, 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space' totally ruined the circus for me.
