Oprah has had rappers on her show, Mc Hammer etc. She is a woman who's not into gangster rap. Whats wrong with that? I'm not into it as well. Oprah's audience is not made up of gangster rap lovers and 50 Cents audience is not made up of women who like Oprah's show. Different generation. Gangster rappers should move on to something else and leave Oprah alone. What do you think?

You have it confused, she is the talk show host, and if Ludacris couldn't answer the question, and speak his peace, as he does with his rap songs, then he shouldn't be complaining. And she had him on the show? Right! Well where was all the street toughness at? Is he scared of Oprah??

Yes, I would call him a rapper but was he on the show???Was he not? He paved the way for other rappers and you should be aware and respect what he did for the music you claim you love. Read the question before you reply.

Rappers don't like her because they have been able to bully people into to liking them by calling them oreos and sellouts because you don't like rap music. They're always trying to convince people that every rapper represents the black race and they don't. It's shame that people don't consider Oprah black because she is intelligent, competent, and well spoken woman. She's not running behind rappers expressing how big a fan she is and how she thinks they're so cute. She's been in the business 20+ years. I don't think because a few rappers diss her she's just going to disappear. She's had people say a lot worse about her and she still managed to accumulate close to 2 billion dollars while donating like crazy. She could quit right now and still live a very comfy life. While, they would have to go back selling drugs and pimping hoes.

Those who diss Oprah are rappers who seek a broader audience, which Oprah can provide, but doesn't offer them. These rappers who are going at Oprah are mostly being ignorant (i.e. 50 Cent, Ludacris), but don't pack all rappers into one category and say they are not in their right to ask why Oprah won't let them on but will allow other artists from different genres. Emcees, such as NaS & Lupe Fiasco, should have the opportunity to offer their educated opinions as she allows other "celebrities."

I think u have it confused. It is clear she does not like rap music. However, she has rappers on her show who are making strides in other forms of art, such as acting or writing books. She has them as guests for those reasons and to boost ratings, but insults them by asking dumb questions unrelated to the purpose of their visit. For example, she had Ludacris on her show when he was to talk about his movie Crash, she instead asks him about why he calls women "hoes" in his rap music. Totally out of the blue. She's done this before, therefore alienizing the unaware guest and creating another enemy. That's what's going on.

I agree. She has gotten slack because the majority of her audience is middle age white women. However she hosted an all black female event, for the life of me I can't remember what it was. She also built that school in Africa and she has donated to the Katrina victims. She does support her own if you will, as well as other races.
She is such a positive influence that they should leave her alone.

i think they have left oprah alone, in fact ludacris thanked oprah and bill o'reilly for his recent globe award that he won..might have been a bit sarcastic, but hes proving that, as a rapper, he can still accomplish what others think he and other rappers cant...

Great additional information. I have no idea why anyone would hate another person because of music! Some people ask for tolerance but never give any!
