One thing Hollywood understands better than most, is talent and the ability to connect with their audience.

Is Hollywood right or will the audience give Barack Obama a two thumbs down?

I guess I don't understand this "star appeal" that so many people think is a good thing. Who cares whether he can speak well or if he has magnetism and charisma - we're not electing a leading man in a love story, we're electing a president.

You need to consider their plans, policies, goals and philosophies. Who cares what they look like? I do not understand this need to adulate a candidate.

Hollywood, and what it thinks, has nothing to do with politics or being president. I think it's time to stop watching American Idol.

We shall see what happens in the next year or two, but right now, he has my vote. I like his message and I think it will play well with people who are sick of partisanship.

If you put it in perspective and compare him to Bush, then yes, he is star quality.
