8 times out of 10 the monitor wont 'click' to life, when it does the computer wont go through the full boot procedure so i keep having to reset. After many attempts at booting it will come to life - for 10-15 mins then the mouse cursor disappears and the machine freezes in the middle of whatever im doing and i have to reboot and the situation starts all over.Whats going on? is my machine dying? can it be fixed? help please!

you computer is bogged down in data. go to start, control panel, internet options and clear out the cookies, the cache, and temp files.
if you can get a page opened up..youcan do the same thing by going to tools, [thats up there on the very top bar, where file, edit, view atc are located. click on tools, then options, then privacy, then delete those items I said above.
close your browser, then restart. if youworked form the start button, shut down and then reboot after 30 seconds or so.

Sounds like a mother board problem. Restoring Windows will only cause you to lose everything on your computer.

remove any disk from the drives and do the following please

restart your computer keep taping F8 then go in safemode and do system restore point .. click on start .. all programs .. accessories ..system tools system restore . go back 2 days on that then restart the computer when the system restore point is done
