He's just made a film called the condemned and according to WWE he is coming back in the next few weeks to promote his movie and he's going to be at Mania.

J.R. (Jim Ross) has stated in his blog that Steve Austin is set to make a return in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania. So, we should see him sometime in the next 6 weeks.
It will most likely not be a permanent wrestling return because he is suffering from the effects of numerous knee and back injuries during his career.
