This happens to me too but in a different way. I play with the kids for like 2 hours, then we go ad watch tv for an hour becausethe kids get tired. Everytime the parents come home, they see us watching tv, and I think that they think we watch tv all day. Ya and when they come home it feels like they pay me for watching tv with the kids. LoL. But I play wiht the kids too. NOt just tv. Here are some games:
2-3 years old
Games:
Ride-on-toys, push-pull toys, water toys, picture books, simple puzzles, hide and go seek, rolling and catching ball, movies or watching t.v.
4-5 years old
Games:
Puppets, costumes, masks, play dishes, crayons and paper, arts and crafts, moves, dress-up, 1-spy, playing store, tricycles, wagons, skipping ropes, hula-hoops, roller skating, Barbie’s, toy trucks, and movies.
6-10 years
Games to play:
Magic sets, models, puzzles, craft kits, hobby kits, cards, board games, video or computer games, sporst and movies.
Have Fun!

It's hard to think of something that all 3 can do because the youngest is 3 and the oldest is 10. You could bring something like crafts along and they could work on that - but, again, 3 is pretty young for that, too.
It's even hard to read aloud when the ages are so different.
Perhaps for them, fun is TV and watching movies. Perhaps they don't do that much when their parents are home.
If you are making dinner while you are there, you could ask them to help but give them simple things to do. Ask the parents about this.
You could play with some sort of lego type toy; they could build things with different levels of skill.
Art supplies are always fun. As long as you have plenty of paper and coloring books, you can get a book from the library that describes art projects and just let the youngest color in books. Bring your own colors and supplies and take them home with you. They will at least enjoy the novelty of using your supplies!

Do something creative! You didn't mention the gender of these children but I'll try my hardest to help you. :)
First of all, if there are any girls, you could have a fashion show! Bring old jewelry and a couple of old dresses, etc. and allow them to put on their own show! Younger kids enjoy things such as floppy hats and feather boas, so grab what you can. If there are any boys give them a job they'll enjoy more than playing 'models' - buy a cheap disposable camera and tell them they get to be the photographer! As for the 10-year-old, they may not enjoy these as much, so they could also take on the role of photographer or possibly design the set, etc. etc. You can have the photos developed and give them to the kids on another day.
Or you could ask them to make up a play. Bring pretty notebooks and pens and tell them to write the script, and then help them design the set and dress up.
If the kids enjoy movies, make the movie night more fun! If the parents allow it bring treats like popcorn, chips, candy, etc. You could make a fort (and clean it up about half an hour before the kids go to bed or the parents return home) and camp out while watching your movies. Building the fort out of objects like chairs, blankets and pillows will also entertain the kids.
Good luck and happy babysitting!

Lots of kids like playing hide-and-seek. Another fun thing to do that I've done before while I've been babysitting is to have a "toga" party. Just grab some sheets (or even blankets) and wrap them around the clothes you're already wearing. Then turn on some music and spend the night dancing in your togas. It's really fun! Just make sure to put the sheets and blankets away when you're done so the parents don't have to clean up your mess.

Ask them if they have any board games that they want to play. It's okay to leave say the 7 and 10 year old to watch TV for a little while you play with the 3 year old. Just say "hey show me your toys!" Or bring some up and start playing with him. Offer them snacks, and play hide and seek (if you play hide and seek though make SURE that they know when you give up they have to come out!) Letting them watch TV and stuff isn't bad though- it's better than them running around and getting hurt! Then you'd have a bigger problem on your hands! Good luck.
