the corporations will sell you air in a can as soon as they think it's profitable/ possible. i.e. when the air is very dirty. The govt, may already divert some of your taxes to environmental projects to clean the air, so they are already making you pay for it in a way.
lastly, there are air bars, certainly in LA and maybe NYC, where you suck "healthy clean" air out of like a hookah and it's flavored too. Not sure it that caught on, they tried it 1-2 yrs ago.

We already do. Through policies enacted by the government companies and individuals pay for advances to keep air clean. Whether it be a filter on an electrical plant or the catalytic converter on your car, you are in fact paying for the air you breathe.

Generally, something is free until overuse or misuse spoils its natural supply. Or, I should say, it's price is only the effort you must put forth in order to get it from nature. With air, only the minimal effort of breathing is needed.
Governments usually begin charging for something at the moment people can no longer obtain a supply directly from nature. Sometimes, governments will engineer legal or physical obstructions to prevent people from supplying themselves, simply in order to obtain another source of revenue.
When governments begin charging for air, for example, it will do so in more than one way. They'll tax people for making the "air purifying machines," and then they'll charge people for obtaining the product: breatheable air. They'll charge in lots of other ways, too. You'll have to pay the salaries of inspectors who check your house to make sure it is sealed airtight in accordance with "regulations." You'll have to pay for more police to find, arrest, and prosecute "air bandits." And much more.
And all of this future cost will be created from something that presently costs no more than the effort of inhaling.

When you take a step back and look at life, these things are really sad. In order to live in a free country 40% of what you make has to be taken! This is what happens when people put restrictions on others and enslave them! Our Founding Fathers would be heartbroken to see what happened to freedom!

You didn't know? You haven't been paying your air bill. Air Bill sounds like Clinton. Wait Monica, well it had to do with both.
