When playing euchre, if I throw the wrongg suit, knowing that I have it, is it worng. We call it re-nigging. One of us says it's part of the game, you just can't get caught doing it because then you lose 2 points. The rest of us say it's just cheating and shouldn't be allowed. Do you think it's cheating or that it's part of the game?

Of course it is against the rules, but your one friend is right. It is done and if people do it on purpose. If they are not caught that is because the opposing team is not watching whether their opponents are following suit.

It's illegal, and certainly cheating if done deliberately. I don't know the official remedy for it, but I'd play as follows: If the offending player notices it before the trick is completed, he can take his card back, but then all players after him get to take theirs back too. If it's not discovered until later, then the point penalty applies.

It's definitely against the rules. You have to follow suit.
