I would consider shaving my head to support a friend/family member with cancer or for a cause that is important to me, but not for a fashion statement or attention. How about you? Would you shave your head, just for the sake of it?

Okay, Tea Freak, I said that would be one of the only reasons I would do it. I didn't say it was my only way to support someone. Feelin' a little testy about Britney are we??? Besides I wouldn't judge anyone for shaving bald if that is what they wanted to do. So CHILL Nestea!

I saw the footage of Britney Spears (spelling?) shaving her head and the way she went about it like it was a whim, her bodyguards asked a beauty shop that she doesn't have her hair done at to open up for her when they were closed. I totally thought she was doing it because of her impending custody battle with k. fed, because they can take a sample of her hair and show whether or not she has done drugs. Like for example a test could show she had done cocaine approx. 1 month ago and maybe some other drug 6 months ago. I am not saying she does those drugs but I do know they have used hair to determine a persons drug use in court cases before. So I totally thought she was getting rid of the evidence, I was cheering her on "you go girl, get rid of that contaminated hair that ****** could use against you to get your kids." Her hair was long enough to show everything she had done since her oldest child was born. But then I heard she's selling it for a minimum $1 million bid, so I guess I was wrong she wasn't pulling a fast one on K. Fed like I thought. He is the only one I would imagine paying that much for her hair to get full custody thus more of her $. Anyway that is a reason to shave your head.

I would shave my head for a family member or a close friend with cancer. Or I would cut it very short and donate it to Locks of Love, but other than that...I wouldn't.

Only under the threat of imminent DEATH by some horrifying murderous method would I be persuaded to shave my head. And even then, I'd probably hesitate!
I'd CUT the length of my hair for a cancer patient wig, but shaving yourself bald isn't necessary for this gracious act of kindness.

I would only shave it if it had like 20 gobs of gum and there was no way Id get the gum out.

I would shave it if I was going to have chemo. Or, to help a family member feel better about themselves. But there would have to be a d@mn good reason for me to shead my locks!

i would definitely shave my hair to give to locks for love. At least i can grow back my hair, but there's so many people out there who can't. this world places so much importance on looks-so i can't imagine what they must go through.

I'm with you on the support and fundraising thing; otherwise, no. I don't have the confidence to pull it off (or should I say 'shave it off'.) Plus, I personally just prefer having longer hair.

If I had cancer & was losing my hair I would shave it or if a child who was sick ask me to shave it. Otherwise no chance!

i was extremly serious about shaving my head about 3 weeks ago,i have really long hair and thought it would be the ultimate new begining, id do it just for "blank piece of paper", new start. (i believe thats why britney did it)
