I'm a 20 year old college student and I'm a virgin. I've been noticing some dead skin on my penis lately. It doesn't hurt and it can't be an STD because I have never had sexual contact with anyone. I shower twice a day, but this skin is giving me a funky odor down there! This is very annoying and I want to know if anyone had experienced this or knows what to do? Thanks.

I am also uncircumsized and the skin appears around my penis around the head.

Is there any itchyness or redness? it could be a yeast infection, get some caneston creme and rub on once daily for a week or so if that don't clear it up see your doctor

Ignore everyone - no doctor is needed. Based on what you wrote, you have a very, VERY common item called "smegma". This is not a vulgar term - it is an accepted medical term and is found in both men and women. In men, it is found by the head under the foreskin. In fact, usually men with in tact foreskins (uncircumcised) will have this issue. It really is just dead skin cells, as you already noticed, and can be visible. It will also provide an odor. The good news is that improved bathing can help (general showering isn't enough). I provided the Wikipedia link below, but just do a search for smegma to find better ways of cleaning.

while I have no personal experience; I would encourage you to get a Dr. to look @ this as soon as possible. For a couple reasons; a.) It's your penis ....your ONLY penis. b.) See a.) As long as there is no pain...that's good....getting checked by a Dr. will alleviate any anxiety, & my thinking is that that is very important. You are not going to show the DR. anything He/She is not familiar with. Personally, I'd prefer to see a male Dr., just because. I'd do it soon, just to get it done with, if it was me...Let me know...
