If carrots were people, they'd be slightly stuck-up. If broccoli were people, they'd be elderly yet gregarious and friendly. An asparagus is a young man filled with angst and with a chip on his shoulder. A cauliflaur is a cantankerous elderly woman. Beets would be helpful, yet demanding people - your best friend if they get their way only.
That is very creative, I like that question. You're right about the onions at least.
