ok, first things first, if you arent incredibly fast or tall, i recommend working on your routes. if you have precision running in your routes you will not have to worry as much about speed or size as you can beat the cornerbacks with your moves. run nebraska drills, work with your quarterback daily on all your routes, just have him throw to you after practice so you get to practice catch and running your routes and you get a timing developed between you two. finally dont be afraid to get hit, if you are small, slow with good hands, a good route runner, and crazy enough to go up for a ball over the middle, you will make it into college ball

Well, depends on what areas you need to work on.

Run for starters. Get your stamina up so you don't get tired too quickly. Also work on your jumping skills. Try using the bleachers or some other raised elevation. Do it both ways, meaning you try jumping off from the stairs from a certain height, and also try jumping up to that height. Vary the height's also.

Work on speed. if you have access to them, use those elastic bands that someone holds to hold you back when you run. This will improve your leg strength. Also, lift weights. Build all around strength. Have a friend try and jam you when your getting off the line and work on getting past them.

And lastly, practice running routes both alone and against someone else. Good luck.

Route running takes precedence over all others. Even slow guys can become great receivers by running good routes and using their body as a sheild and catching with the hands. Former NFL players Chris Carter and Sterling Sharpe are perfect examples.

work on your hands and route running. A good idea is to get together with your QB and go through some stuff. Have him throw some hardballs at you so you can work on your hands and he can work on his throwing. The two of you can create some chemistry and when season comes along you guys will be like a well oiled machine.

It's all about speed and catching ability speed is very easy to do just work on your start and then catching it's best to practice with a bad QB cause if you are used to catching hard passes then it will be very easy to get the perfect ones that your QB throws

catching tips....
1) use your hands not your body
2)when catching the ball, put your hands out and bring them in the way the ball is coming so it slides into your hands, and wont bounce off them.
3)practice with a medicine ball....a football shaped one...if they make them...if not a round one works too.
4)practice....repitition is also key, even if its just tossing the ball up and catching it.
5) if you practice with someone passing to you tell them to throw a couple feet away from you, and our have them pass poorly.
6)get a big boost off the line.

Catch the ball with your hands and not your body and that will make you a better player.
