Im 15 years old and 5'9". Im taller than all the other girls and like 80% of the guys in my school and out of the people i know and its terrible. Like.. the first thing pretty much everyone says when they see/meet me for the first time is "Oh wow, youre really tall" and i hate it. My family is always telling me that its a good thing, but its really kind of upsetting and frustrating.. Its also really hard because its so hard to find a guy who would want to go out.
So is there anything at all other than surgery that i can do to make myself shorter ?

There is no surgery to make you shorter.
Don't stress. In a couple years, most of the guys will be your height or taller and it won't be such an issue.
I'm sure you've heard it, but most models are at least 5' 9". It is a good thing, though I admit it does make finding pants harder. But then, I'm 5'4" and wish I was a little taller so pants would fit me right - I'm too tall for petites and too short for regulars. So no height is perfect. Part of growing up is accepting who you are just the way you are.
My best female friend is 5'11" and is married to a handsome guy who is 6'2". Besides, who cares if you go out with a shorter guy?

Unfortunately no ... but when you get older, you'll get over your height. You're at an age where you're self conscious about things that other people could care less about! Embrace who you are and think about the benefits of being tall is ... just like there are certain things that only short people can do (even though they have the disadvantages you don't). The fact that everyone is different, short/tall, fat/skinny, pretty/ugly, is what makes us unique, and beautiful in a very unique way. You may be taller than most in your class or in your school even, but try to find something you like or even love about yourself & focus on that. And like I said, with time, you'll be happy you're taller - THINK ABOUT THIS ... MODELS ARE 5'9" AND TALLER!!! Short people can't be super models. ;)

Be proud, girl! The guys will catch up with you soon enough and the girls...well, just don't worry about them.
Don't start slouching!!! It's a terrible habit and impossible to break. Stand tall!! Come up with a witty one-liner for when people mention your height. It won't be a big deal when you're an adult.
Supermodels are tall, athletes are tall, nothing wrong with being tall atall.

You are only 15, the guys will grow. Guys are probably just starting puberty at 15, give them until they are 17, then you won't be taller. To appear shorter, wear flat bottomed shoes. Wearing no heels will add no height to you.

First of all, 5'9" isn't all that tall. I'm 5'9" and I'm about the average high of the rest of the student body in my school. Secondly, why go through the pain of surgery just to act like you fit in? Honestly, just forget about your physical appearance, make others adjust to you.

CUT OFF UR LEGS!!! im kidding. but making yourself shorter isn't easy without medical attention, but girls hit growthspurts around 12-14 so ur pretty much done growing with the exception of maybe an inch or two. don't worry, guys grow slower than girls so in no time they'll be back up there with you.

I was taller than all the boys at my school too... (I'm 5'11) it is very odd and very fusterating.... but soon all the boys will be taller than you. You just need to accept that your tall and beautiful!! Everyone else will catch up!

Unless you're fat, don't worry. You're so young; in plenty of time you'll find a guy that likes tall girls. There are plenty of them. Until then, look beyond your school; try looking for guys at other schools when you go to football games and stuff.

Are you nuts ? Tall chicks are HOT ! Look at all the models out there - besides , 5' 9 isn't that tall.
