I think I saw on TV before that doctors did say that normally HIV can be tested to be positive or negative after 3 - 6 mths' time. But that depends on how fast the virus spreads & attacks and also on the individual person's low or high immune body system. I think the best person to ask is the doctor. Pls see a doctor soon.

Are you worried that you've been infected with AIDS? I suggest you go down to a private clinic for a thorough body-check and STOP having sex or casual sex with your partner or other partners. You're likely to spread your virus to them, especially when you're not using a condom but for your info, even condoms ARE NOT 100% Safe!!

Do HIV victims have any visible symptoms?
Those in the early stages of infection often look and feel well. In fact, it may take up to 10 years before signs/symptoms develop. During this period, the person may look and feel normal, although he/she is infectious and can spread the disease to other people. Some of the signs and symptoms of HIV infection are common to other illnesses. These may include fever, persistent cough, diarrhea, loss of weight and swollen glands. Usually these symptoms only occur at the later stage of infection.

How AIDS is transmitted?
- sharing needles or syringes with a HIV-positive intravenous drug user
- blood transfusion, through semen, vaginal fluids from a HIV-positive person
- a HIV-positive mother to a child during pregnancy, during hildbirth or breastfeeding

AIDS will NOT be spreaded by:
- mosquitoes
- toilet seats
- swimming pools
- touching people infected with AIDS
- sharing food or drinks with HIV-positive people

What are the sympthoms of AIDS?
a)Severe weight loss
b)Fever and soaking night sweats
c)Thick white coating in mouth
d)Unusual purplish spots on the skin
e)Severe Chronic diarrhoea
f)Multiple swollen glands in your neck and armpit
g)Chronic cough with breathlessness
But these symptoms are shared with many other illnesses, so they don't necessarily mean you have AIDS. You should consult your doctor if these complaints last more than a few weeks.

The AIDS virus won't show up in the bloodstream until 3-6 months after you contract it. The rim-job he recieved won't have exposed him to anything, since the AIDS virus isn't present in saliva. But the unprotected oral sex is still an issue. If AIDS is a serious concern, he will have to wait it out and abstain for the next 6 months, and then go get tested.

It can take as long as 6 months for the HIV virus to show up in your tests. You are tested for the virus...for the disease itself, it could take years for it to develop into full-blown AIDS. You may have the virus and not know right now though. It could show up as early as a couple of weeks after possible exposure.
