Dodgeball?

Question

OK, I play dodgeball at our JH, but our school uses the little foam balls instead of a regular dodgeball. I'm OK at dodgeball, I can somewhat dodge balls, but I can't throw for jack. I can throw, but sometimes, it goes left or right. How can I learn to dodge better and throw better?

I tried to practice dodging by having a friend use a Nerf gun to fire darts at me, but the balls are larger than the darts.

I grew up playing Dodgeball at P.S. 33 in the Bronx, NYC. Everyone wanted me on their team, I was quick as lightening and I had a slingshot arm. When you throw the ball, you are going to have to use your arm like a sling. Don't throw it like a baseball, throw it like a disc. You'll get more punch behind the throw. As far as dodging, you want to do that with balls that are too low. You can't catch those easily. Stay away from anything low or high. And try to read the body language and the eyes of the one throwing the ball, so you could play to evade or catch the ball.

well are you turning your feet to left or the right? when playing dodgeball or any other sport, you need to keep your feet straight. if you don't the ball where go where your feet are pointing. weird, huh? well glad i could help ya. hope you get better!!

well i know wat ur talkin about cuse we use the same type of balls.you really need to throm them hard and for dodging it the floor and jump in the air like a splitz when you see the ball goin low and coming towards you
