He wasn't even a Catholic, which is a necessary prerequisite for sainthood.

Hell no! He single handed crushed the park service, put the unemployment rate at the highest percentage in recent history. The country never loved a president like him but the economy suffered. If he is a saint then you would have to say President bush is God.

President Reagan was a wonderful, caring, inspiring, brilliant leader, but he never purported to be a saint. I think it is best to honor his memory by spreading the word about all the good that he did. Hundreds of millions owe their freedom directly to President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Well let's review what Ronald Reagan did during his presidency.........

* Created over 17 million new jobs
* Reduced inflation rate from over 13% to just 4.4%
* Cut black unemployment in HALF!
* The most electoral votes of any president in history.
* Helped the average American income rise 12%.
* Defeated the USSR and the communist threat peacefully,
* ZERO countries fell to communism during his presidency.
* Cut in federal funding of abortions, focus on family values.
* Brought back American PRIDE.

That being said, what do YOU think??????

Many right-wingers apparently think so and have conveniently forgotten his illegal acts such as Iran-Contra and the fact that he was the beginning of many policies that our country is suffering from today. He also was a big fan of Cheney and Rumsfeld, let's not forget. And he was one of the worst governors California ever had.

No, I don't think so. It would be an insult to his memory -- he was far too modest for anything like that.
