Its not really the BEST act of kidness I've seen, but one of the nicest I've ever personally experienced was a few years when I blew a tire on a busy highway. A man who was working in a building with a window facing the road left work and drove over to me, changed my tire and wouldn't tell me anything more than his name. I asked to have an address or phone number so I could send him a thank you, but he wouldn't give it to me. He said that he had 4 daughters and would like to think that if one of them were stranded that someone would come to help them. He shook my hand, accepted my thanks, and left with a smile. I'm still grateful to him.
