I want to block someone from my MSN, if i do will they know or will i just come up as off line??

They don't know at all. It just looks to them as if you're offline. And all these sites that apparently can tell you if someones blocked you are false, they cant. MSN speacially designed the blocking feature to show you as only offline on their computer.

Yes and some programs may check who blocked you.

Search for "MSN Buscaborrados" (something like "MSN Searchblocked").
This program may tell your blockedones that you've blocked'em.

You will just appear offline, after a while even the stupidest person will figure out they are blocked.
If you don't want to contact or be contacted by the person why worry what they know.

They won't know unless:
1. They use a block checker although most of them don't work now
2. They get a third person to contact you and see if you're online
However they will easily know if you delete them or not.

Usually they can't tell you just appear as offline. I think it blocks offline instant messages as well though so they might find out.

you will appear as offline but there are programmes people can get to check if someone is online when they appear offline. if you want to stop speaking to someone you can but its maybe polite to give an explaination, especially if you have been chatting a long time.

It is highly unlikely they would know you blocked them. Your nick would not show up as online, and would appear as off line.

No they won't. But if they have more than one addy, make sure you block all of them otherwise when they change addys they will figure it out.
The same applies if they're on a mutual friend's addy and see you online, but not on their own.

No, you'll just appear offline until you un block them.
