Ah, classic John Waters. That man made Andy Warhol look normal (well, not really...). Pink Flamingos is probably as old as you are. I'm surprised they're showing it on cable. And if you watched it on the Sundance channel, it was probably severely edited. I suggest that you try and find a full length, unedited copy on dvd. You will appreciate it more. It's not about left or right, just about being totally tasteless.

Ahhh, Pink Flamingos... I've not seen it in ages but the scenes with the closeup of dilating-constricting anus, sending feces via the post, and--the grand finale--the unforgettable "How much is the doggie in the window?" are embedded in my memory as if I saw it last week. Maybe it's time to see again.. LOL
