It could be portrayed as a burdened request. Is there a positive perception a girl can take from a guy's sigh after a task is asked for?

I can tell you truthfully, and from experience: it's like, ugh...what does she want me to do now? More work?

In a male perspective, a guy does that because - A. He is occupied on a task at the moment, and if a woman requests something, he gets irritated cuz he's focused on the task at hand and he's been interrupted!!! or - B. It's something that doesn't interest him!!! Believe me, I've been down that road!!

WHen a guy sighs it usually means you asked him or requested something from him waaay to many times. He might sigh as a sign of relief that he did whatever you asked him too and he finished it... that might be a positive way of looking at the situation.

From the way you put it, there's probably no positive way to spin it. He's getting tired of the requests.

Who's at fault is harder to decide on this limited bit of info. Do you ask him for a lot of stuff? Or does he do this even though you ask him for just one or two things a week? He could just be lazy, or you could be high maintenance. There's not enough here to go on for me to decide.

It typically is a sign of 'burden' or feeling obliged. Why not ask him why the sigh, and let him know if he doesn't want to do the task then he's not under any obligation. I'd rather my sweetie do things for me because he wanted to or didn't mind, and not because he thought I'd get PO'd if he didn't.

NO a sigh is never postive. It is always a sign of reluctancy to hear or answer the question

It means that the guy, while dedicated to his girl enough to do the task, would rather lie there with his beer and relax, but he loves you so much that he is sacrificing his free time and relaxation just to do this task for you.

A bad way of thinking of it is that he is reasoning to himself that this gets him points towards being in bed with you... hehe.

In a word... no. Well, not really.

That's only my opinion - I may be wrong. It depends upon the body language and the tone of the sigh, the facial expression - don't forget that very little communication is verbal.

If he sighs that just a way of saying I really don't want to. But since you are so hot I will do it for you. Isn't that enough?

If the relationship is good then communication is open and you don't have to wonder about things like that. Instead, the other person will tell you. It's really nice when it's like that.

We, Men, want to plan things, a little ahead? And you women, don't seem to understand that. Once we get a Plan, on what to do? You go and have to have us change things around. Then we have to redo what we've already planned. It's just time consuming. And it gets old.
