Me and 2 friends are going ghost hunting this weekend in the uk and wondered if anyone else has done this?
We havent done it before so no experience, what should we do or not do? what should we look for when going into the woods?
Should we do a ouigy board? What should we take to protect us? Split up or stick together?
Im taking my dvd camcorder to see if anything shows up on night mode!

I'd forget the ouija board. If you want some hi-tech gear, check out supermeters.co.uk
EMF meters are pretty good. Nothing will protect you. Stick together.

Kewl!. I love ghost hunting and have been on many hunts. Always remember that your mind can play tricks, and being in the dark can make you think you see something,if you have never been before. It will be real enough if there is more than you sees the same thing. I don't have the emf meters or any equipment, just my phone camera, my pendulum and my senses, and yup, i do sense the spirits. Stick together, always. Don't scream or shout at anything and everything. You must learn not to fear.....not so easy. You may know when something is about. Don't exaggerate the truth to make yourself look good about ghosts, just be calm, and be yourself. I haven't seen or sensed something everytime, but i would say 80 percent of the time i have, and this includes being put in a kind of trance by the Gypsy Queen at her graveside.something i didn't realise had happened until i snapped out of it 10 mins later!. Anyway, keep an open mind, dont be scared, def take camcorder and have a great time, would be nice to hear how you go on with it too.

I agree with several of the above posters.
Bring extra batteries, as you may very well need them.
Hand held recorders are very handy by the way. Feel free to take a video recorder with you too, as you never know if you may pick up on something. Also bring an extra batteries for that.
If you don't have a 4th person so you can split into pairs, it would be best to stick together. One reason is so you can confirm what the other person(s) you're with saw.
See if you can do a little background on the area you're going to. Helps to know what kind of entity you may encounter.
And finally, please do NOT take a Ouija board with you.

Bring extra batteries and power sources for your lights and your camcorder. I attended a seminar wherein a ghost hunter in Georgia (US) took a group of people to a cemetery where ghosts were suspected to be. They had multiple power failures and their lights kept extinguishing. Stick together for sure, as different people are liable to see different things; one who sees can point the cameraman in the right direction to capture something interesting. No Ouija board. If you're going hunting for ghost, you're already going where you think they are. No need to call more and worse things to you. Also bring jumper cables for your car. If it is true that ghosts and electrical phenomena coincide, then you may experience lots of trouble with your equipment at the same time you see the exciting stuff. Redundancy is ALWAYS a necessity on a ghost hunt. Oh yeah, be very patient and quiet.

Take your camcorder and a digital recorder if you have one. Take a regular flash/film camera and/or a digital camera. It's Ouija board, by the way, and you probably shouldn't mess with it. Stick together and take turns asking the ghosts to interact. Sit still whenever possible. Ghosts can't hurt you physically so your best psychic/spritual defense is prayer before and after.

Don't take a Ouija board or you will be sorry.
And try not to be scared because they won't come if they think they will scare you only if they are evil spirits

It can be fun but be ready to be shocked, and don't use a Ouija board it could cost you more than you bargained for, you would find it better going to an old building, and watch out for someone playing jokes, i mean people you don't know, and at least go in pairs, plus agree not to play jokes on each other, and good luck

for protection just dont b scared and tell that to urself if u see sumthing like a ghost or just belive they dont exsist....i went ghost hunting with 1 friend to prove it, found nothing...then went solo..found nothing, id b careful about that board cause i heard not all spirits are cool to mess with, they cannot hurt u phically but they can get inside u if u let them in by accident...then u get possesed by sum undead freak
