In future download a program called copernic agent from www.copernic.com
You can use this to search for anything, it's free and it's easy to delete any search you want to.

I believe that when you click to place your cursor in the search bar, the list of searched keywords will show (dropped down). If you highlight the top keyword on the list and then press the "delete" key, it should erase all keywords searched.

For the icons, if you click on "View" and then "Toolbars" you should see some choices under "Toolbar" that you can select to keep icons or leave them hidden.
